The Board of Directors and Staff of the Placer County Contractors Association and Builders Exchange would like
to announce our efforts in supporting the Sierra College Vocational Trades Program.

County and the surrounding region, we firmly believe that providing educational opportunities for our

The PCCA and it’s members will be funding this project through cash contributions and material donations, while
Sierra College has requested a percentage of the proceeds be directed towards the
Vocational Trades Program.
Sierra College will be educating its students in real time, on site and on schedule project development, providing
hands on training for a more intensive educational experience.

Students will be involved in the design, staging, rough and finish construction in virtually all phases of a
construction project.  Using insulated concrete forms on the exterior walls, they will be exposed to
green industry practices that compliment conventional construction techniques.  Electrical, Plumbing, Framing,
Concrete, Cabinetry, Finish Carpentry, virtually all the specialized skills will be made available for the
students to educate the next generation’s construction experts.

While the PCCA has committed it’s resources to making this project happen, we value the construction industries
desire to be a part of a project that will go far towards the continued success of the construction industry, and will
gratefully accept participation from suppliers and contractors who wish to be a part of this great effort.
